The Lake District

Our first post just has to be about the Lake District.

So many lovely memories, so many special times. Our first holiday together, our first camping weekend with the children, many more holidays, days out, walks etc... we still come back year after year, and we keep discovering new magical things each time.

The Lake District is special in so many ways to so many people. Walking, hostelling, camping, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, exploring, relaxing, simply being away from it all.

It feels like a different world, timeless, in unison with nature. You feel more alive, the colours are more vibrant, the sun feels warmer, the rain, well, the rain feels as cold as everywhere else, but it doesn't matter, because everything around you is so lovely, and you even love the rain because it's the reason why everything is so wonderfully green.

If you've been there, you know what I am talking about. If you haven't yet - a wonderful discovery awaits you!
